Will damage occur should I change the 'steps' to run a Hornby 00 loco Say from 128 to 28 ?

I have a Hornby R3382TTS Merchant Navy class, almost unused from new. Recently it would run a little jerky on 1 and 2 throttle but on 3 it is perfect. Any ideas ? Track is clean. Is this normal on this model. Was told that the loco is not designed to run at running speeds 1-3 strange.

My DCC power track (R82410) for some reason does not power up Can I use a dc power track (R 8206 ) for my DDC locos ?

Does anyone know where I can downlod Sound Decoder Manuals? I have a Brittania (class 7?) with TTS sound, but no manual?

Yes that could be- ,i just sold a pack but cannot remember much about it It was steam set .

ameThink it ran from Euston to Liverpool. Have you looked on line to find out what loco was used. I believe Tornado did some excursions with that headboard. 6 Found this on you tube and the sign on ther rront is exactley the same but i do not have model of a Tornado !!
