  1. I must admit i am starting to regret doing an in progress build , sounds like its ruffled a few feathers.

  3. They knew nothing about release dates. I had one on preorder with them , 2 came in , they sold me one.
  4. They knew nothing about release dates , it came in , i had one on preorder with them so they sold it. I even took the one with the damaged box. I think they had 2 http://i.imgur.com/LxMytuQ.jpg
  5. I am as confused as anyone. I didnt think it was out yet but sure enough the shop texted me telling me she had got my hellcat in , i went and got it and that was it. The next day or so she sent me a message saying it wasnt supposed to have been sold yet. Could it have been sent to them by mistake? I dont know. Its not a test shot its the actual kit. What i can say though is BRAVO Airfix its your best 1/24 kit yet!
  6. Thats correct. Also the instruments are now on the decal sheet and not printed onto the parts.
  7. In its basic kit form its actually fairly easy to build , i just decided to make it harder for myself!
  8. Its not straight from the box. Theres a long list of things i did to it , that to me made it more enjoyable. I added under fuselage ID lights made from the clear lens of an LED chopped up just above the electrode , painted silver and inserted into a hole. The landing lights had reflectors made using the old plug molding method. I also plug molded the recess parts that go in the nacelles abone the UC legs. The cockpit has a new navigators back armour plate with the fuel control panel added. I used resin wheels from Barracuda which are excellent. The nose guns have been replaced by the Master brass ones. Its the first time i have used these and they are gorgeous. If you add one thing to this kit , these guns should be it. Moving on to the merlin. I added the Automatic Boost Control unit from scratch. This is quite a large unit that is missed from most if not all Merlin engine models. It sits on the top of the supercharger. I added some control linkages. On the rear of the cylider heads i added the compressor to one and the RPM cable to the other. The rest is as it comes from the box with the exeption of HGW belts and good old Airscale compass and drift meter decals. Oh yes i also reshaped the props and spinners a bit! Dont get me wrong , the kit does not really need all this , i just wanted to make it the best one i have done yet. I will be buying another one to do a nightfighter version. The only thing i would suggest really needs replacing is the undercarriage. Due to it being molded very scale its a bit weak. I will be using meteal legs on the next one.
  9. Heres my newly completed 1/24 Mosquito in the Markings of the Banff Strike Wing. It took a month and around 120 hours. Great model with more "soul" than the Tamiya 1/32 offering i have built in the past. Huge too! http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i111/gunpowder17/air5_zpstc40sg33.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i111/gunpowder17/air10_zpsn9kq7tif.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i111/gunpowder17/air9_zpsmwtfyptr.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i111/gunpowder17/air7_zps19r8s5pf.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i111/gunpowder17/air6_zpsn5j0vuol.jpg
