  1. The part that is glued is the triangle part below the socket the part the allows the socket to move to the left or the right
  2. Hey guys I just bought this hornby class 50 and turns out someone has super glued the nem pocket that holds the coupler and so it can't move around and restricts the wheel bogies from moving around and so derails on curves. Is there a solution for this or would I just need to cut it the pocket off
  3. When I do this I only turns F0 on no matter what number I use
  4. I brought myself a trainset ages ago with the updated select and was just using the manual from that to see how to do things on the select I was given so yes no wonder it wasn't working
  5. Is there a PDF of the older manual as I wasn't given a manual when I brought this select
  6. However when I hold the function button it works and shows the function to make a double header consist
  7. Yes am doing that however when I press a number and function it doesn't say f1 on or f1 off it just doesn't select the function at all and the number continues to flash
  8. Oh yep and would this be a possible cause as to why it shorted out
  9. But don't I need the ends stripped to insert it into the A and B terminals
  10. Photos are of both ends of the green wires the buffer stop looks to be made of plastic so don’t think it could short it out but will test with a metre with the buffer and without the buffer using the green wires to see if there is a short
  11. Oh yep when the smoke started coming out from the power outlet I was just using the green wires and the power track wasn’t on the test track however after this incident I got a bit scared and thought the green wires were the problem and so added the power track but didn’t remove the green wires and just used the power track as my connection to the track which worked fine however as mentioned I need this power track on the layout and want to use the green wires however I don’t want smoke coming from the power outlet again so I was wondering what I could do to fix this and make the test track work with just the green wires
