Just goes how rusty I have become after my layoff,the problem was I was testing the loco's on my test track which has buffers each end . On testing on the layout they performed OK as you both advised. Many thanks again Chrissaf and STG for your prompt reply and help. Davjan

Hi Guys I wanted to post a question with the same heading so please forgive me for hooking into this topic. Due to illness I have been unable to run DCC trains for some time. I had installed decoders in more of my locos when last using the layout,setup the address on each and tested them in Program mode all were then tested on track and running fine although no CV's were set up. Now on test running each loco a Hornby and a Lima ran using the correct code and ran smoothly but on sliding the controller to stop the loco it ran on for a bit. Is this a decoder fault or can I correct it by changing the CV's if so which CV will do the job ? Davjan

Hi Rob and Guys It is confession time My label and direction problems were due to me. I am disabled and in my eighties and have had no problems in the past with the above but have realised that my double clicking has been the problem i.e. not fast enough. I have adjusted the mouse double click setting and now my layout is all working fine. Thanks for your help and advice. David

Hi Rob and Roger At last I may have found the problem, you recall Rob when I first posted you advised me to check the layouts in design mode for Ghost labels, I did so and found none in either. Today on changing zoom levels on both layouts when set as the default layout a blank label appeared in the top corner of one of them. But upon going back to the design mode for each neither showed the ghost label anywhere . When a member of HRMS checked both layouts for problems he only checked in design mode and found nothing amiss and could not help me. I have had to go back to them from within R/Master explaining this as if the ghost label does not appear in design mode I cannot get rid of it. Thank you both for your advice, I was thinking I was stupid and missing something simple. I await reaction from the team and will inform you of the outcome. David

Rob I have 2 layout plans on Railmaster they are the same layout but have different names, 1 is in 100% the other 75% zoom. I have tried different zoom modes on both in design mode and on neither can I get the label to turn blue by left double clicking the selected label. I have always in the past done as you suggest and had no problems before updating to v 1.71. In desperation on the 20th I emailed you using your contact address including an attachment in the hope you would understand what I was doing but the email bounced back today as I did not advise you prior to doing so. HRMS as I mentioned earlier have not been able to replicate my problem. David

Hi Raf I cannot edit the text within a label. As per page95 in the R/Master guide I double click on the text within the label which should should change the background to blue, it does not change,nothing happens so I am unable to change the contents. The font size is the same as when I first designed the layout so I do not know what is happening. You may also recall I posted a problem regarding the direction arrows, they are now as I want them but it took some time to do it as on right clicking the track element I wanted to insert an arrow a track piece elsewhere on the layout dropped out of place in it,s square. This has happened often within the last 2 weeks so I reported it to HRMS but they can not replicate the fault or the problem I am having with the labels. I am at a loss as to what is going wrong. Hi Guys I have reduced my layout design to fit my monitor screen in 100% zoom but in doing so have lost some large point numbers (not placed in the point description box ) and labels containing platform numbers. Clicking "ABC" brings up a blank label in the usual top left corner and after positioning it I double click it and according to the manual it should light up blue which allows me to install the text and numbers,this does not happen although the font selection box appears I cannot get it to work and there is no mention of numbers since the box was updated for choice of scripts and languages. When I first designed the layout some time back I did not have any problems with this. Can anybody advise as to what has to be done as I have followed the manual instructions but failed miserably. If further info is required I will try to do a screen shot for you. DAVJAN

Thanks Raf and Roger for you comments I inserted them some 4 years ago as I have 2 track buses for an Up line and a Down line on layout that is 16 by 10 feet and all seemed correctly positioned until the latest update now they are all over the place. They do help any visitors when using the layout. I have reported it to the team but if nothing can be done I will have to delete the lot but on some when getting the drop-down some do not respond to the REMOVE button if clicked. DAVJAN

Hi guys In design mode I am trying to add the arrows but get problems. I left click the square that contains the piece of track to be marked,then right click within the square which brings down the pop-up for selecting direction or remove the arrow. This does not often work either not placing it and the normal pointer changes to one with 4 points or places the indicator within the square but not within the track itself. Has anybody had this problem ? DAVJAN

Hi Raf and guys As no forum members have come up with an answer to my track plan being stretched and not finding any ghost elements on the layout I have tried changing another of my designs which have also been stretched. In trying to reduce the length by removing a number of horizonal track pieces i am now left ghost direction arrows but removing them from within the design blank spaces by right clicking them as one does within the track element does not work . Is there any way I can do this please.? I have raised the question of the update stretching the my plan but i have had no answer as yet from the team. Davjan

Thanks Chris being in the left corner it covers the zoom element and I have to move the icon each time to another position which is a pain. As mentioned in my other post for the last 4 years my track design in Pro has been full screen set at 100% but on updating to v 1.7 I am not getting the whole diagram without scrolling to the right a problem I did not have before updating. Hi Raf I have done as you suggested and downloaded from the top link the latest files. R/M working fine but it has not cured the diagram being stretched. I have had my mimic full screen as I set it up for 4 years without having to scroll left or right until this update I await comments from the R/M team. Thanks for your help as always. David

Hi Raf I have checked for ghost track parts and found none. However on thinking back last Wednesday on booting R/M a dropdown reminded me that an update was available and I clicked it. This is the first time this has happened, I have always either clicked the latest version label at the top of the R/M forum page or used the powerpos website. I have software called Advanced System Care installed on my desktop which updates software but R/M is not on the listing and has never interfered with R/M or any other non listed software before, could this be responsable for the dropdown and problem I am having as I have never seen a R/M dropdown reminder before or is this new with version 1.07.? I have yesterday contacted the R/M team from within the program but have only thought of ASC as being the culprit this morning so have not notified them of this. Thanks for your help David

Raf I have had the Pro Pack for some time and on designing the layout I set the zoom level at 75% and at every update until this one it has retained that level of zoom and the mimic has always fitted the monitor screen. This update resets to 100% and I have made no changes to the design. This week I have gone back into design mode and selected 75% for the layout and saved which takes me back to the layout which gives me the the full layout but only in the top half of the screen.
