Thanks my control is the hornby elite, I was looking at a video on YouTube, and the guy says if you use a 12 volt regulated charger you can set it for 3 amp you don't need resistors as the 3 amp charge will not blow them.

On this subject I know nothing, I'm wanting to fit 10 led streetlights, I don't wish to use my controller. Thinking of using a 12 volt power supply adaptor charger for led screen, would this be good and what else would I need to purchase, the lights are ready made up.

Yeah the CMX looks a good one, but if you have a six by four can't see the benefit of spending that much. Quite liked the Gaugemaster 6M60 wheel brush, but if you have a long loco, or a steam with tender, you have to purchase two and put them together, more expensive, I was using a track rubber with a cleaner afterwords and a vacuum cleaner with small brush on the lowest setting, but read that this could damage points, lifting some spring, but mine seem fine.

Whenever you see some product you think you would like to purchse, you look it up on the web forums and YouTube there is always a review that puts you off.
