  1. It is code 100, flat bottomed with wooden sleepers. Paul
  2. Is this the same USA tank that is advertised in Model Rail magazine? I was thinking of getting the subscriber offer, but I would want to convert to DCC. Paul

  4. Goodness knows how many CDs I have. My tastes are eclectic. I sing Gilbert and Sullivan, but rarely listen to it unless I am learning a part. I listen to Rock, heavy Rock, and Folk Rock mainly, with the odd bit of Prog thrown in. Paul
  5. Don't they do a Fish wagon as well? Sorry, I'll get my coat. :-) Paul
  6. Sadly not what I have. Mine is the Mk2 2000 Vitesse, which is also on the layout somewhere. Popped into the very reasonably priced Wicor models yesterday, and bought myself a Lotus Cortina. Begining to realise that 1960s Havant seems to be populated exclusively by cars I like. :-) Paul
  7. Lovely pictures both Jess and Sarah. Love the little figure cameos. I really need to get my Terrier running again, but need to convert it to DCC. Mine is not as good as these two, lot of groundwork to be done, but here are a couple of snaps. I do have videos, can we post those? 8. Flippin heck. I hadn't looked at the price. I will give them a miss. Paul
  9. There are some very neat surface mount point mothers made by Cobalt. Has anybody tried those? They look good. Paul
  10. There is a lot of work to do here, but I have started. Need to build platforms for Havant, and I will probably replace the 40 year old Airfix station models. Paul /media/tinymce_upload/93cecd82e3e8def3e7828d3f5ce2b630.JPG /media/tinymce_upload/ddf56166eda8fa1897f8371164d867f6.JPG
  11. I like that one dgilbert2. I have a lot of track to sort out before I start on the scenery properly. I also want to convert to DCC some time. I was lucky with my room, I was going to go up into the loft, but my wife didn't like the idea of me climbing the ladder. Seeing as our son now has his own house, we moved my wife's office into his (big) room, and I get one end of it. Her office then becomes the (small) spare bedroom. Carpenter friend built the baseboards for me. His is ex-navy, and built them to battleship strength. Paul
  12. /media/tinymce_upload/1bf02deb61ed9e65cd09212259ea6d5b.jpg Very early stages, but this is what it looks like so far. (I week ago) Have started adding cork underlay. Paul
  13. OK, I'll give it a miss then. Taking me an age to list all the other (non railway) stuff anyway. Paul
  14. I may be putting some System 6 and Super 4 on EBay soon. It looks pretty rusty though. Am I allowed to put a link on here when I do? Paul
  15. I still have one of those buffer stops. It doesn't seem to clip onto modern track. Paul
  16. Thanks Cailean I am looking for Hayling Island stock, which was sometimes a Maunsell paired with a Mk 1. There was also a prototype fibreglass carriage that was used. Quite common to have a parcels van as well for the prams. Paul
  17. Yes, open top Southdowns bus, ready for Hayling Island. Just need a couple of Maunsell coaches to go behind the Terrier now. Paul
  18. If you want a combination of 2 BIL /2 HAL coaches then this is an interesting read: http://www.bloodandcustard.net/esf004.html PS never owned a Triumph but used to have a Bond Equipe (2L with O/D)! 😀 Thanks, useful. I have to put a temporary stop to purchases until my baseboards are completed after Christmas. Here is the 2-bil./media/tinymce_upload/707284617f80d9c1c03e0a0532657304.JPG A Bond Equipe is basically my car with a fancy fibreglass body. Paul
  19. Thanks Caiptean, that is useful. 2-BIL is a nice looking model. Looks good sitting next to my terrier. Paul
  20. Waiting for mr. Postman to deliver my 2-bil from ebay. Anybody know the correct headcode for Waterloo to Portsmouth? Paul
