  1. Just been looking at the “Spark Plug” and the idea of a controller app on the phone and thinking about pace cars. “Fixed throttle” pace cars are a bit rubbish - too slow on the fast bits and too fast, therefore crashing on the slow bits. All it takes in a circuit is an R1 curve for 90 degrees and a pace car doesn’t really work. The old Pacer system back in the late 1990s provided a programmable throttle in effect, which was great. Even if the powerbase app can’t do it (surely there must be a way?), the dongle and its associated “phone throttle” could. All it needs is for the phone to record throttle use for 2-3 laps and just play back that pattern? If it can shuffle a 50 song playlist and Bluetooth it to a speaker, there must be a way?
  2. /media/tinymce_upload/b655ce1733ca29df8af492745892332d.jpgHi there it looks like it should be dead easy and there's even a predrilled hole for the LED. but... ive just tried to do mine, taking the red wire from the chip to where the yellow was on the motor, and the black to the green (Having unsoldered the originals). That seems to be the only electrical work needed from the instructions... my result in the track was a small pop, a slight burning smell and I think something on the chip has burnt out. Resoldered the originals and all is fine again in analogue mode... have I missed something? tia Tom
  3. Hiya Yep, also cannot calibrate cars with the latest app. Legacy version of the app does work, but isn't as nice... I look forward to the fix Tom
  4. Yep, getting the same thing with an iPhone 7... the old legacy app does calibrate cars, but is nowhere near as nice with functionaility, registering bits of collection etc. I look forward to the fix.
