  1. Thank you! I will do exactly this on an old model plane I have that I am using as a test bed. Hopefully I can make my mistakes on that first!
  2. Thanks! Apologies for being dim. But do I just get the masking tape, lay the wing onto it and cut the excess away until it follows the curve of the wing?
  3. Hi, My son and I are painting a Spitfire with an air brush. The top and bottom of the wing are different colours. We're using water-based acryllic paints Given that the wing isn't straight, what's the best way to get a sharp line between the two colours of paint, on the very edge of the wing? Any tips much appreciated. Thanks!
  4. Hi John, Ratch, Thank you both very much for taking the time to reply. I'm going to the information you've given me and go to the site Ratch linked. Hopefully I'll be able to find something. Thank you! Karl
  5. Hi, Could anyone advise me on finding the right compressor for this airbrush? https://www.amazon.co.uk/GaGa-MILANO-Double-action-General-purpose-Model-railroad/dp/B016PXGZ68/ref=sr_1_2?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1519595846&sr=1-2&keywords=milano+compressor I'm afraid I don't have much experience with Airfix. But my 10-year-old has recently gone nuts about it and I'm trying to encourage him (far better than screens). My wife bought this as a gift for us. But we can't work out which compressor will work with it. We tried the one made by the same manufacturer but it only has a connector for a cheap plastic hose. Can anyone tell me either a model of compressor I can use or at least what spec I need to look at to identify one myself? Any and all tips much appreciated and gratefully accepted. Cheers Karl
