Yes P-Henny, you are spot on. not display cases/cabinets of which there are loads of places that do them, but as you say "put original full train set in its retail box and put such box inside a clear plastic box for additional protection i.e. not necessarily a box for display, just protection. I spent a few hours last night googling and looking at all sorts of companies but seems unless one wants to spend £100-£200 for clear plastic boxes depending on size and thickness quality, they don't really seem to exist, it seems. Hello, is there any such thing as a clear display case to put Hornby train sets (or any train set/pack) for that matter in so the train set original box and contents are protected. Rather like the clear plastic boxes made to hold film media and merchandise collectible boxed figures? If so, who sells them?
