  1. Thank you all for your input, very informative.
  2. Hello, I have just recieved this crane and am wondering which locomotive would be appropriate to pull it and what support wagons/coaches would be correct. The crane is the GWR version.
  3. Hi, Might have been asked before but I cannot find anything. What is the most effective track cleaning wagon
  4. Thank you all, I am hoping , if I fit a sugar cube speaker, that and the decoder will fit in the boiler. I will fit dcc to it and do hope it will be a sound one.

  6. Hi guys, Sorry for the delay in replying, I do believe the interior of mine is different to the one in the photo. When I get home I will take a photo of my chassis. Once again, sorry for the delay.
  7. Hi, I recently purchased this loco at a model railway exhibition. I would like to fit a sound decoder but am not sure of a suitable one due to the limited space. It is not dcc ready but I am confident enough, could anyone recommend a decoder please.
  8. I have fitted my Tornado with a tts decoder and used a sugare cube speaker, both stuck to a piece of plasticard and inserted into the smoke box. Just poked holes in the chimney and all works and sounds a treat.
  9. I have checked both locos and neither have a spring. I also have a Flying Scotsman but not tried it yet as it is still waiting a decoder. I have taken the drastic step of replacing the setrack points with fine scale short turnouts. The turn part seems to have a less sharp curve and I am thinking that might be part of my problem. I don't want to get rid of the 2 said locomotives as they were purchased because I like them. My layout is not prototypical, it is a layout to run locomotives I like. 71 year old boy and his toys
  10. I might have used the wrong terminology, it is the small leading wheels. The radius of my track is 18". My points are peco setrack. It seems to be on points but after it kept happening I came away in frustration. I will check again in the morning and try to give a more detailed account. Thank you for all your replies.
  11. Hi folks, I have these locos and just got around to running them. They both seem to have the same problem in the fact the front pony keeps jumping off the track. Is there a work round suggestion. Thanks
