Thanks howbiman I have diagrams of bus wire circuits but wanted to make sure as I've built the board and want to run from PC and can get a starter set with e-link and Railmaster software at a decent price

I'm a complete novice and trying to learn what is necessary to make a good layout so whilst researching have seen the necessity of bus wires,now my question is this can I run the power to a bus wire from the transformer or do I need a controller as well ie some starter sets come with a transformer,elink and Railmaster Software, can I run a bus wire on such a set? Apologies if I'm not making myself clear and if I'm on the wrong part of the forum as I've never posted before.
