  1. Hornby Have come to the party on this one they are sending out replacement part from there warehouse so all good Hornbysmilethumbsup.
  2. Atom 3624, I think you are right , choose these "brake rods" as they are so small and so fragile also the waight of the metal body works against them in the packaging, Chris.
  3. HI Colin , I see what you are saying however a new loco should still be under warranty from Hornby.
  4. I do not really think you should have to superglue these straight out of the Box! What are we accepting here poor manufacture from Hornby China . I have locos from the 1970s with METAL chassis it really is not good enough!. Also Hornby have not helped me yet so i think i will be cancelling my future orders i really spend a lot of money , However if there is no help i will sell these locos and only buy original HORNBY DUBLO, please do not get me wrong i think these are nice models with metal bodies however the plastic lets them down.
  5. I have asked Hornby to replace the plastic rods (not shore there actual name) as when i took loco out of packaging for first time noticed the actual packaging where the front driving wheels sit was pushing on the plastic frame and had broken it in two places! and this is on a loco that was new , i also have the "General Steam Navigation" hornby loco and i checked this very carefully and one of the middle plastic rails had also come away!! , Hornby might have a Metal body loco however the plastic parts around the driving wheels ruin this also as they age the will all become brittle, I have asked Hornby to help me with this problem as i love these locos. I have also noticed the new Flying Scotsman that is due out in the Summer has these also maybe they should be made f metal or be left off all together a shame for locos that are not cheap and also in the Dublo packaging Please help Hornby Thank you Chris Philpot.
  6. threelink I have to say i ordered mine a long time ago and i will not sell my one however i will run her and think of Elizabeth 2 .
  7. I did get a special price He is a great friend, There are two on trade me at moment these will not hang around for long, The actual loco should stay as Elizabeth the 2 now think in honour of the Queen or build a new loco, out of respect for the Queen.
  8. Hi Hornby i have mentioned that all Dublo collectors would like a metal body 00 Scotsman to be added to next years release with three rail as an option as there are many collectors who would buy one me being the first, It might cost slightly more but that's ok if it looks great also with a Dublo screw in coupling as an option like old Wrenn . You could keep the same packaging with 2 or three rail sticker on box. I just would like the ultimate loco that Dublo should have made, Thanks Chris.thumbsup
  9. Two have come up for sale here in NZ on Trade me they are 675 dollar about 330 pounds more than i paid, So if you want one there here for sale now.
  10. Colin B, Yes and it was made as 0 gauge but Hornby Dublo was overlooked by Meccano from the start, Chris
