Thanks Chrissaf & ruffnut. Deep down i thought there woudn't be an easy answer. I do have a reasonable amount of modelling skill and can be quite ingenious when i have to be so with those links and suggestions i'll come up with a solution. Peters Spares is only a couple of miles from me so i'll go down and see them in person (rather than phone), when the dreaded lockdown eases. Thanks guys.

Can the older broad couplings be exchanged for the n.e.m. couplings, and if so, is there some kind of adaptor to fit them to the carraiges/loco etc.

Hi everyone. have not been on for a while but hope everyone is well. Can someone please point me in the right direction for point motor switches, i.e self centering and/or what make etc. Have nearly got all the track layed so this is my next move. Much appreciated everyone

Hi everyone. Saw a couple of clips on youtube(and read a couple of comments) saying people have had trouble with the Stanier "railroad" Black 5 (pulling power), most saying they struggle to pull four coaches. Has anyone else had this problem as i have two of these and they pull five caches with no trouble at all so long as i do a very slow start . Would be interested to know what you all think.
