  1. How about these nice wheels for the 1/24 Bentley.... https://themodelbunker.com/3d-models-kits-products/28-bentley-blower-45-litres-spoked-wheel.html
  2. Thanks guys, the Airfix Tribute forum is exactly what I was looking for. Marvellous reference. Now the search begins for the ones I am missing.....:)
  3. I wish some of tool sharing could be revisited. As a youngster I remember building several 1/24 cars, notably the Aston Martin DB5 James Bond car, plus the "Gangster" series of 1920s classics such as the Lincoln Continental, and the Ford J car which had a body moulded in clear plastic. I believe these mould belonged to MPC, as several Airfix original car kits such as the Lotus Cortina and others were released in the USA under the MPC brand. I would gladly welcome all of the 1/24 cars I built years ago to be available again, but they haven't been released by MPC or anyone else (as far as I know - does anyone else know ?).
  4. Yes its a shame about the mouldings. The kit is 50 years old or more, and the cost of the tooling has been amortised many times over - in fact it must be among the most profitable Airfix kits ever produced, given how many times it has been released. It could certainly be put out at half the price or less and still show a decent profit. Wake up Airfix - if you are going to keep it in the range at least tidy up the tooling, and maybe make some new wheels with modern technology and materials. There are lovely real wire wheels available for the Bentley from an aftermarket supplier, so improvements can be done.
  5. I had forgotten where those figures came from. They have been sitting in my "bits box" for more years than I care to remember, from a kit I must have bought in the 1960s.
  6. Is there a complete list of all the 1/24 scale aircraft ? I have been searching, but every Google attempt just brings up retailers. I can't find any information on the website, and all 4 of Arthur Wards books are not helpful. Can anyone provide a complete list (with stock numbers i.e. 12001 etc) of all the 1/24 aircraft produced please ? Thanks in advance - and maybe Airfix could provide this facility for these and other models as a reference for modellers and collectors ?
