My class 66 keeps derailing on my points,all other loco's are fine.Would changing the wheels solve the problem?

Which sound decoder do i need for this loco.

Have successfully reset one loco,with the other one every time i connect the decoder to the socket the select shows overload.

I have done all the above now i have no functions atall,have tried to reset the decoder and controller but still no response.

just had my select upgraded to 1.6,tried to turn the volume down on my R3663TTS,must have done something wrong because when i select it the address just flashes and no functions.Tried to reset the decoder with no success,this is my first adventure into DCC.

I have just bought the R3284TTS flying scotsman,is there any way to turn the volume down using the hornby select controller?

Should my hornby select be left switched on all the time.When i turn it off at the mains i have to reprogramme all the loco's again.Thanks for any advice for a novice
