Jdt100surf

Please help. I have wired my point motor via Hornby point switch and it works to open the points but will not close it. In desperation I wired in a second motor on the other side to see if that would close it but that opens the points as well. Tried reversing the wires and no difference. Please help as I can't find an explanation
