  1. Wow, that's for the good information. I will have a read through to get my head around it. As for my expectations, I think I will be happy with this for now and see how I get on; "If you mean you want to automate a number of consecutive DCC events such as change these points, change those signals, drive this train form A to B and stop. Then yes, RailMaster software can do that at a basic level" Much appreciated.
  2. Firstly, I apologise as this isn't really Hornby but not sure where else to ask. I have started getting into N gauge, and going DCC. I would like to build a system that will control signals and points, preferably from the computer (I've looked into programmes). Just wondering; Would it make a difference if I were to buy the Hornby Accessories Decoder and can I use that for N gauge, or do I need to buy something specific? I've tried googling but I'm inundated with all sorts of information and codes and it doesn't make much sense to me. I'd like to avoid wiring as much as possible (I appreciate that there will be some still). If I were to buy a Dapol motorised signal, what type of decoder to I need to make this work? Again aplogies this isn't really Hornby but not sure where else to ask.
  3. The evolution of my paint jobs over the past month; criticism welcome. I think I should be priming the figures first? /media/tinymce_upload/5abe0b1f61dd418e6cdb0a1a621ff16f.jpg
  4. I've got a long way to go, by my evolution of painting models. Criticism welcome, I'd like to give them more detail in the future./media/tinymce_upload/d378f1134fb38677465cc5cc6eaae7f4.jpg
  5. I see. Thank you Paul, I'll give experimenting a go. I've got plenty of scrap plastic bits from my failed planes! Lol
  6. Hi all, very new to modelling and painting with an airbrush. I've been reading around so apologies if this has been posted before but I'm just confused with all the products. What are the differences/uses for (all from Humbrol products, but I assume other brands are the same?) Gloss Cote, Matt Cote, Satin Cote, and then Clear Matt Varnish (and presumably the equivilant other varnishes). So far I had been spraying my models with the clear matt varnish before decals, applying them and then sealing with more varnish. But now I'm reading I should use gloss first before decals and then varnish? I'm just confused with all the products and what order I should be doing things in. I'm making planes so I don't want them glossy, that's why I stayed away from them. And finally I'm reading that Humbrol products aren't that great for this? 🤔 Lost a bit - thanks!
