  1. Try taking a single piece of straight track, put the car into the slot, then look closely from the side to see if the braids are actually making contact with the rails. It's a common problem that the front wheels are set too low, and lift the braids away from the track, this can cause spluttery driving or a complete fail.
  2. Hi, Definitely not Start, it was one particular section of Sport track, rather than a whole different format.
  3. I've got lots of modern Sports/Digital track - side-swipes, lane changers, hairpins, different radius curves etc., but has there ever been a section of sports track that was only around for a year or two before being deleted? Like an ultra rare/specialist piece? I have a vague memory of seeing something once, but I can't recall what it was or what it did! Thanks.
  4. Anyone know of a reliable supplier for Pirelli P Zero tyres for modern Scalextric Formula 1 cars? Some come with them fitted (Williams, the older Mercs etc), but it would be great to bring all my cars up to F1 standard. Can't find them available as spares anywhere. Thanks!
  5. Will Scalextric ever get back to making modern F1 car replicas? The current line up of cars (the generic red and blue cars, plus the Williams - all from the same moulding) is now several years old. As much as I love to race Batman against Marty McFly, Hamilton vs. Verstappen would be much more satisfying and realistic on my track, and I'd love to see the new metallic green Aston Martin livery in 1:32.
  6. The only time you'll need to calibrate is for use with the "Incidents" and "Yellow Flag" features on the app. All it does is set the lowest speed you car can go without stalling or stopping. If you're not using those features, just skip the process by pressing "Next Step" then "Lock Calibration" without changing any settings. It won't make any difference to the performance of your car.
  7. An the Straker and Foster cars from UFO would be awesome too!
  8. Nice idea, however, a scale SPV would be too big for Scalextric track, but the Spectrum Patrol Car would sit just right grinning
  9. They've now updated it to "Spring '21", so maybe just a momentary lapse of reason?
  10. Just noticed that the new Batmobile (which the catalogue had listed for the first quarter of 2021) is now listed in the Scalextric store with a drop date of winter 2021. Does anyone know if this is correct. I already have it on pre-paid pre-order with another site. Cheers.
  11. Thanks for the advice Andy. Looks like there is a ready-made hole behind the guide blade (an alternative screw hole?). I'll check out slotforum. Cheers 😀
  12. Has anyone soldered a digital chip into a Ferrari 412p? I'm about to attempt it, but there isn't a lot of room in there, looks like the only way to do it will involve removing part of the passenger seat. Any helpful hints? It would've been great if the Ferraris were DPR, to go up against all the Le Mans DPR Ford GT40s on the market.
