Early in February when tracking my delivery from Hornby it spent 3 days in Scotland before arriving in Sheffield staying for two days then travelled to near Birmingham and finally to Manchester then delivered to me with two labels covering my address saying in big capital letters DO NOT COVER THE ADDRESS . It took nearly 10 days from the email so it is not only the drivers but warehouse staff too

    I have checked one of my ringfield motor with screw fittings

    The pickup connection screw does not make a connection to the motor chasis

    so is ' live' therefore the hole must be slighly larger

    The other brush connection is earthed by the screw thus when fitting a decoder

    it has to be isolated hence the plastic screw removing the earth with the side connection lifted away from the chassis

  3. An update from my first post when I asked Is anyone having the same trouble,

    I contacted Customer Services and a very helpful lady investigated and sorted out my queries saying that two preorders where in one box and one preorder packed separately and I should have within a day of each other.

    I also received a refund on the delivery charges for the combine box

    The orders have now arrived packed well with no damage.

    I also got the impression that they are aware of the problems some of us have been having.

  4. Having received a 3 emails on the 7/12/21to say my preorders have been process and my account |charged paying Postage for each order then 6 days later to receive 2 emails from Hermes to say two where on the way.

    However when trying to track the two the site says they do not recognise the link.

    It is now over 9 days will I ever receive them before Christmas.

    Will contact and complain to Customer services tomorrow

    VERY BAD service this time

    Is anyone having the same trouble

    If the unit was stripped as you said, has the axles been inserted in the correct order

    the black plastic gear fits on the knarled axle the other two are plain ones

    Another problem I have had is the black is slipping or has a crack and will not grip so no drive to the wheels

    hope this helps together with the other suggestions

  7. Last year all my preorders in January had card problems and had to telephone each time to comfirm the order and was accepted with the same card each time.

    In February 19 when I renewed membership on line the card was excepted with no problem 

    So the fault lies with the preorder system

    This year so far no problem (yet)
