  1. For some reason the Function facility works today! Not sure why. Perhaps related to alternating between elite or select option, although works with both. Or refreshing HM7040.
  2. Arguably the best use of the HM7040 Legacy Dongle is using the HM7000 app with a Hornby Select or Elite dcc System as functionality is better, but the Lenz option is pretty good.
  3. So if you have a Lenz DCC system generally what does the HM7040 Legacy Dongle offer you? The Ability to operate your dcc equipped locomotives using the Free Hornby HM7000 app, allowing you to list all of your locomotives with pictures and operating multiple locomotives (1 at a time directly). So you have the best of both worlds either operate with Lenz Control knobs or instantly switch over to Slider controls on the Hornby app. If you want to you can also run a Hornby Bluetooth equipped locomotive but you don't have to.
  4. The very old basic DCC system Lenz Digital plus, generally works with the HM7040 Dongle. Atlas also used to sell a similar system under license from Lenz called Atlas Commander I think. The running of multiple trains worked very well Alternating from the Hornby app then back to the Lenz controller, but when I tried to add F0 function manually to operate a light it very rarely worked for some reason?
  5. Charlie's videos are pretty popular and didn't he win and award as best youtuber? Personally I think Hornby tt120 have a bright future, oo gauge is definitely a bit too big. Charlie seems to assume that tt120 has been unsuccessful? Is that true? Seems to be wishful speaking. I'll have to say though Sam's trains videos are hard to beat, he must create a lot of interest from younger viewers. Although like others I don’t understand why he is 100% convinced that prices are too high? Hornby are obviously not making a massive profit! Something.
  6. Another person that needs to calm down on the criticism of Sam. I was surprised about his comment about the firmware upgrade as well, but in general can't you see the appeal of his videos? Especially with younger viewers? Your toilet comment is a bit pathetic.
  7. In general Sam's trains Videos are very good, not many other videos analyse the slow running and design of the motor drive etc, calling him an idiot is not deserved.
  8. I'm fully behind Hornby on this and tt 120. The moderator answered me as if I had complained, wrong tone I think.
  9. I am not complaining I am patient. I don't know the time scale for getting apps online. One of the key selling points is bluetooth capabilities, there is as an argument that you don't send out decoders until the app is available. If a product relies on an app you launch the app first! Simple. Again I am not complaining!
  10. Arrived yesterday, hopefully Bluetooth decoder will arrive soon! Surely App will have to go live soon. You can't send Bluetooth decoders out if the Bluetooth function can't be used.
  11. As my Bluetooth decoder is being sent soon, I would assume the app would be available very soon.....
  12. I assumed Hornby had sanctioned this Video to show the Bluetooth decoders still work as conventional dcc decoders? Are you saying this video should not have been released?
  13. I suppose it does show that the Bluetooth decoders still work as stand alone conventional dcc decoders.
