Would Sport be a good track to start up with? seen on ebay or go for a new analogue set- Gulf Set & go from there?

is there a current NI Scalextric Club or clubs??

Hi Everyone I am lookign to get started into Scalextric...many years ago ny brother & I had a set LaneChanger possibly SCX was not Scalextric With lockdown & me wanting to start a hobby I thought Scalextric- I have a room where i plan to set it up etc & build up over time. If I had the £ I would go for one of the Arc Pro sets but with a wedding (hopefully0 on the horizon funds are tight. I was looking at a few things online/ebay..one is a refurbed analogue set - large set that has had some TLC from a scalextric hobbyist. Another is the Digital Triple Ignition- seen running. Then there are new anlogue Stock Car Challenge & Gulf Racing sets. I had thought get analogue as I love the look of a lot of the cars including mini clubmans & potentially some of these may be difficult to convert to digital. I assume these older cars would run on the new analogue tracks? Or do i try & get an older digital track to have overtaking/blocking & it potentially needs the ArcPro added to increase cars racing Any advice greatfully received
