  2. Hi i I put this on yesterday and for some reason has been deleted. I bought a Hornby P2 PoW and put a Hm7000 decoder in it. All well except the button/panel for engine sound is greyed out and I cannot get a sound from it. I can get the other sounds. Any ideas. If the moderators are removing things I put on please tell me why. Mod note - ref the forum rules… Remember to post in the correct sub-forum. 3. Hi i have fitted my new P2 PoW with a HM7000 and stay alive. Everything ok but on the sound selection panel the engine sound is greyed out and does not work. All the other sounds work and if I switch to DCC (NCE PowerCab) I can switch the. Engine noise on and off. Anyone any ideas on how to solve?
  4. Hi just purchased new P2 PoW 2007 with new HM 7000 and Power Bank. The electrics are in the tender and installation of the speaker and chip are quite easy. Then ether is a problem- there is nowhere in the tender can you fit the power bank without cutting up the tender, which I will not do on a £250 model. I cannot believe that Hornby have made the inside of the tender obviously with the HM7000 in mind. I have tried always and the tender top does not fit with the power bank inside the tender. Well Done Hornby going back to D&H decoders. .
  5. Hi all, I have recently purchased the new Type 43 diesel set and never used the HM7000 system I decided a good model to try it out. I fitted the HM7000 and stay alive all work, I separated the shell and disconnect the front wiring by unplugging it, I tested the system without a shell and it worked perfectly far better than I expected. I have run into two problems Once I plugged the lights back in they will not work. The plug will only go in one way. Any ideas.I have managed to brake the NEM connection off but when I looked further there is no NEM pocket but appears to be a direct contact with a mechanism inside. I cannot find anywhere where I can get a replacement from Has anyone any ideas nothing on the websites to indicate how to replace them either. Anyone any ideas please.Robert
  6. Hi, I am disgusted at the practice of some dealers who and so called model railway enthusiasts who have bought the R3971 General Steam Navigation and are now profiteering and sell at more than £500 and one dealer is sell on easy at £650, I am not after one as I don't use this era and feel very sorry for those who are and for many which way beyond many model railway enthusiasts. This not good for the community and puts people off modelling.
