  1. Hi Everyone, Very new to slot cars and Scalextric, was gifted a used (but complete) Sunset Speedway set with Arc Pro powerbase and after getting track set up and ensuring that the controller functions worked (brake, lane change, check!) I wanted to make use of the app and try some racing. First, I tried to calibrate one of my cars, without success. I could not get car to move as I increased speed on the app so completing a lap at slowest speed was not possible. I learned that you don't need to calibrate if you don't use yellow flag feature so that might not be an issue. Next, I tried some practice races. Simple set up, 10 laps and away we go. Turns out that no matter which of the three cars I used, the power base did not register any laps so my counter remained at 0/10 and time just kep running for first lap. That will be an issue and I appreciate any suggestions on how to handle that. Finally, I discovered possibility of racing against a pace car, which would likely be a more exciting addition to racing and more of a challenge then racing cars controlled by my 6-year old son. Setting up the Pace Car seemed to go well. Set care in Lane 2 and then using app I was able to complete laps by increasing speed to a level which allowed for lap to be run without going off track. Success! Well, then I tried to run a race against pace car, set Pace Car in Lane 2, my car in Lane 1. Lights out and both cars took off being controlled by the app. Ran 10 laps at exact same pace. No matter which cars I set up as Pace car and race car, same thing happened, both cars are controlled as Pace cars. Funny enough, the lap counter worked for whichever car was in Lane 2, but not for Lane 1 in all scenarios. I apologize if these questions are basic or have been answered in other posts. Cheers and Happy Racing.
