Thank you for this information. It helps a lot. I will need to see how the curve will work best, but this helps a lot. I may have some curves left from my old layout that I will be able to recycle, then I will make up the difference.

I am currently working out my track requirements for a large 18metre by 880mm layout. Included are two reversing curves to enable a single mainline to run around the layout. I am using Hornby track as I have some from an old earlier layout. My question is what curve tracks can I use to facilitate these curves. I have widened the layout at the ends where these curves go to 1m. It would be useful to know which R numbers I need to order from my supplier. Thanks for any answer you can give me on this.
