  1. I usually do but for some reason google wasn't being helpful today.
  2. Can you consist with the HM7000, want to know because I like to collect DMUs and alot of them require multiple decoders.
  3. Hornby would rather make more profit then actually get there stuff released on time so I doubt they will move out of china. I'm pretty sure Hornby releases where delayed constantly even before the pandemic. Accurscale and Bachmann are also produced in China and I don't think they had nearly as many delays although I could be wrong.
  4. I want to buy myself a Hornby HM2000 but I'm worried about running it with Coreless motor's because I heard the HM2000 is a Coreless motor killer, and I don't know how common coreless motors are in the Model railway industry and in vintage stuff. Can anyone here confirm whether my concerns are Correct or not.
  5. I doubt Hornby would make the effort for tube train models unless they can squash a small manufacturer who is trying to do it and can potentially be successful. The makers of 00 gauge tube stock that I know of are relatively sizable. Or though Hornby may suprise you.
  6. the railroad range is usually old toolings with a DCC socket, and I'm not sure Lima ever made a Class 70, though someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
  7. Is it possible to build the Hornby trackmat layout with peco setrack, or is the setrack geometry to different so that it Will look weird on a trakmat.
  8. Thanks for the advice, now I just need to find a heating element small enough. That may be a challenge.
  9. I just bought a Triang smoke generator from eBay, I believe it was taken out of a princess royal. I plan to improve it because they are known to be pretty ineffective, what I plan to do is replace the heating element inside with a better one and connect it to the one Aux output wires of an ESU DCC decoder, I want to ask if this is doable and if so, what heating element should I use, also how easy would wiring it to the decoder be. I know it's pretty a silly thing to do but I want to do it because I have nothing better to do anyways plus the loco I plan to fit it in has the space. PS: I'm not doing it to an expensive model, it's a Railroad range model which a friend fitted an ESU 21 pin decoder too. Mod note - this discussion moved to the DCC as you intend operating it from a decoder.
  10. I plan on using a Triang Hornby EM2, and class 37 and a Princess Royal locomotive. (I think it's a Princess Royal).
  11. Thanks for the tip, I probably just save the money and order some blanking plates.
  12. Thought so, that's why I came to check on the forum. smiley
  13. I don't live in the UK or even Europe that's why I can't find blanking plugs, I also have to pay shipping plus Import duty and customs fees.
