  1. I'm happy that I've now resolved the problem but slightly annoyed by it.
  2. It seems I have at least 4 faulty points.
  3. Thank you. I've bought some r8232's and a little dcc shunter. Once they arrive I'll try everything again.
  4. Thanks guys. Pdf was very interesting. Seems to make a little more sense now.
  5. Hi there. I've built the medium oval track layout. Also using the Hornby Select controller. The trains we have are DC. Trouble is there's only power going through the one loop. Once I change the point so the train can change loop etc I get electrical overload on the Select controller. I've tried using R8201 to connect one loop to the other but that is also causing an error. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Paul and Finley.
  6. Thanks for the replies. It's just so happens the trains are analogue and I didn't realise.
  7. Hello, Really need your help. We've bought a load of new track, a new DCC digital controller and a new piece of power track to connect the digital controller to. When we put the train on it won't move. There's a whirring noise coming from the train..we've tried a few trains but it's the same problem every time. If I take the wires out of the digital controller and just touch them on the 15v the train will go around the track. It's almost as if there is t enough power going through to drive the train. I know the trains work, the track is brand new and so is the controller. I've only made a small oval of track so it can't be that. Anybody have any suggestions please.
