  1. I’m looking for some advice please. I’ve got my very old (1960’s) set which doesn’t come out of the loft very often but when it does there’s a little part of me that thinks I should really get rid of it and get an updated version! However there’s a bigger part of me that feels the frustration that comes with trying to set it all up on the odd occasions that the Grandchildren want to play with it, is all part of the fun. Rather than give up and just invest in a brand-new set, I'm planning to buy more second-hand track and make good what I’ve got already, get some new controllers and a couple of new cars and off we go. In theory. I’ve found some nice Sport track and it seems as though I’ll need adapter track pieces to connect the two types together. My question really is should I expect any pitfalls with this setup? I’ve got the original 1960’s Smoothflow Transformer too, will this work still do the job or do I need to replace it? I've tried good old Google but either nobody's ever asked that question before or I've not phrased it correctly as I can't find an answer. In an ideal world I’d like to wander into an old-fashioned model shop and chat through my options but sadly they don’t seem to exist anymore. Thanks for making it to the end of my ramblings and thanks also for any assistance.
