  1. He Andy you are amazing! Thank you so much I shall look for the pieces now. So much appreciated!
  2. Here’s another one. Some have price stickers in from about ten years ago the rest is 1970 ish.
  3. Hello again here’s the pics of the ends of the track. Is this any good? Thanks in advance! Elsa
  4. I don’t know what happens to the pictures, I upload them then they do not post!
  5. Thank you all. I’m trying to post pics not getting very far! The track says 12v on it. I don’t mind if I need to buy new bits, we only want to have some nostalgic fun at family gatherings. If it is a bit hit and miss working again that is part of our original experience! Your kind advice and expertise is much appreciated, thank you. A simple solution is all we need. Many thanks again🙏🏻 Elsa
  6. Thank you. I feel that we have so much track we should use it, but I’m happy to buy new power supply, cars and controllers if needed. I’ve seen sets for around £100 but don’t know if they work with original track, and no sections of track with any kind of special fixing point. The new kits seems to come with a piece of track which I assume gets the power to the whole track. Does all track - whatever age - fit together? Your advice is gratefully received!
  7. Thanks though I’m happy to buy newer parts if it will work with original track.
  8. Dear knowledgeable community I have recently become the custodian of a huge Scalextric set that my parents won back in the 60s in a competition and the set is much treasured by the whole family. The original cars are gone as is the original box type power source. My late brother in law - the previous custodian- has purchased a ‘power bank’ power source which has a foot which is clearly supposed to lie beneath the track and power it, but there’s nowhere for it to ‘plug in’ to the track. All the track I have is the same and there’s no special piece of track that fits onto the ‘foot’. There are plug in controllers with it. The cars look in good condition and have the metal pick up strip things at the front that I remember from my youth! Im really keen to get it going and have no idea where to start. We could make a huge track and it would be so much fun for us all. There’s so much to buy out there and I’m finding it tricky to work out what I need, just a simple solution to get it working in its most basic form. if you can offer any advice I would be immensely grateful. Thankyou. Elsa.
