Actually I'm not so much concerned in its financial value, but more as its value to a collector as part of a collection, as it has indisputable charm and I think that it deserves to be saved. I'm downsizing and de-cluttering and along with that, the inevitable question, of what to do with things, including this and the hundreds of kits that I have. I'm going to look out the book that you mention, and I might know just the bloke that will have it and lend it to me. To conclude, I am delighted that there is this forum dedicated to all things Airfix; the kits with the paper header and parts in a plastic bag, were my first foray into model building; a basic one was 1s 6d. nigh on sixty years later, I still like to buy one and build it, and they still bring me great joy.
