  1. Hey guys, Thanks heaps for the replies, they are all really helpful and have given me some direction to start looking for a solution. just to fill in some of the planks: The track on the first radius curves is the old system 6 steel track but the straights are shiny new long straights. I'm thinking the flanges may be an issue as what you guys are describing pretty much sound plausible. And yes.. love the little dock shunter, i just fixed mine as it had a broken pick up spring and had to get the park ordered from UK as parts in Australia are not that easy to get.. once again, cheers for all the assistance.. Steve
  2. Hey Peoples, Finally pulled out all the old train stuff from the closet and build a set up. I have a Pre 1972 R253 Red Dock Shunter (with the knurled wheels) that shudders from side to side as it goes around my (1st radius) corners at higher speeds. Its nice and smooth at lower speeds however. On the straight sections it runs like a rocket BUT yeah, when you hit the corners it drastically slows and shudders from side to side (not back to forward) Cheers in advance for any advice.
