  1. Hi folks, I’ve just bought a couple of power connectors and also a power link pack for my DC set. Problem I’m having is the wires are too short. My soldering skills are pretty poor so I’m wondering is it possible to purchase Hornby compatible long wire with the connecting terminals attached? The power link pack has such short wires by the time I’ve cut it and threaded it through a hole in the table top there’s not enough wire to use a connecting block to extend the wire length?
  2. Hi guys I've been wiring up my points but was wondering if people number their points on their layout to match their switches. I've got about 10 sets of points and keeping track of which operates which is difficult. I was wondering if there is such a thing as small numbered signs that can be fixed next to each point that match the numbered switch?
  3. Hi folks I’m needing some help with my Mallard loco. Ive recently had the motor repaired that is in the tender but now I’m finding that the wheels on the engine itself are sometimes stopping rotating and the engine is being pushed round the track by the tender. This happens both forward and backward and at all speeds. Some of the time it runs fine, any advice would be much appreciated as I am a complete novice when it comes to engine repair. It’s running on a standard track not DCC and all my other locos run fine? Many thanks in advance.
  4. Morning folks im building this layout below but not sure where to plug my contoller power supply in to the layout to get power all round. i have the HM2000 controller so two power outlets.
  5. Hello folks, I’m in the process of building my first layout and have decided to have a coal mine as my centre piece. I’m trying to collect all the Hornby Colliery buildings but am struggling to find the mineshaft building itself. Any suggestions of where to try please?
