  1. Just uploading my video on YT of the Blue Yellow HST. I initially couldn't link device (it defaulted straight to reset device) and when I tried the reset hacks, nothing worked. In the end I had to remove body and remove decoder and refit it. Upon refitting the body, a black wire along the side could get snagged so I included the precaution near the end of video as a still image. Loco sounds great by the way! 🤩

Not sure how relevant this is, but I'm having problems with the Scotsman 'shorting' the power when it runs over one set of points in one direction! If I swop over the tracks the William Whitelaw runs faultlessly across the same points and the Scotsman runs perfectly well onn the other track. The sorting id very brief, just enough to shut off the Bluetooth, and then a delay before all works again.

Thanks...mine is happening on corners but not on points. I have a feeling though it could happen anywhere on track.

Have you tested them on a test bit of track, with just a DC power feed and the app? Are you on the V2 profiles?

Yes - it was doing back in November but I thought it was my app / phone. Its doing the same on NCE Powercab now so its loco and not app or dcc control or track, etc.

  4. So I have confirmed today my Blink Bonney is shorting the layout out on HM7000 app and via DCC and my NCE Powercab setup. I really am trying to be positive but:

    Mallard still with Hornby

William Whitelaw had its Next 18 decoder replaced

    Blink Bonney similar issue.

All three locos I bought have had issues or problems - is it me? Am I too rough or doing something wrong because surely I cannot be this unlucky??

Re: Blink Bonney - let Hornby know. Suspect it will have to be returned, etc.

  5. Good ideas again. I am after something as been using the plastic cases they come in. However, there exsists a risk of over handling locos when using these so need something easier and softer.

    Thanks Dodge.

Did I see somewhere on the forum some card boxes somewhere designed for TT??

Head over to YouTube and Peachy's channel to see a new conversation-style episode. Looking for plenty feedback and suggestions for future episodes along the same broad lines...

Enjoyed the chat format and your intros into the pastime. Already looking forward to the next one now the intros have been done and Ted has been introduced!

My HST set with two coaches, two decoders and 4 Total tank wagons. Still in their boxes as DPD delivered late in the day. Holding my excitement until tomorrow!

How are you holding that excitement - sleepless night tonight! 😁

    Taff,

Yes i can wait.. Hope you get yours sorted.. Why taking so long?

Dont know. Sent it off after trying a few derailing fixes but still doing it so sent it to Hornby. If it comes back repaired I might break it up so will let you know. They quoted 28 days but it might be quicker.

Does anyone know, where i can get a full set of TT:120 Mallard wheels, including the Tender wheels?

I'm waiting for Hornby spares to come back to me, but the guy i spoke to, recon's they didn't have any.

Done a man look online and nothing..

    Thanks

Dodge - if you are willing to wait the outcome of my Mallard repair, etc, I might be breaking that up to help? Can you wait for up to a month for a Hornby decision on mine? If it come back repaired, I might be able to help, etc?

    How u doing with yours?

No changes yet. Settling down with layout and about to wire up for dc and dcc operations (in isolation to each other of course).

  11. Thanks for confirming this both of you. I couldnt see anything electrically but again, low experience levels so thought I better ask before cooking a loco, etc.

    Cheers again.
