    Taff,

Yes i can wait.. Hope you get yours sorted.. Why taking so long?

Dont know. Sent it off after trying a few derailing fixes but still doing it so sent it to Hornby. If it comes back repaired I might break it up so will let you know. They quoted 28 days but it might be quicker.

Does anyone know, where i can get a full set of TT:120 Mallard wheels, including the Tender wheels?

I'm waiting for Hornby spares to come back to me, but the guy i spoke to, recon's they didn't have any.

Done a man look online and nothing..

    Thanks

Dodge - if you are willing to wait the outcome of my Mallard repair, etc, I might be breaking that up to help? Can you wait for up to a month for a Hornby decision on mine? If it come back repaired, I might be able to help, etc?

    How u doing with yours?

No changes yet. Settling down with layout and about to wire up for dc and dcc operations (in isolation to each other of course).

  4. Thanks for confirming this both of you. I couldnt see anything electrically but again, low experience levels so thought I better ask before cooking a loco, etc.

    Cheers again.

  5. Hello,

Question - with a track enabled for DCC with Bus and droppers, plus DCC clips in Hornby points (TT:120 type), could I run a DC (analogue) locomotives on it?

Obviously not using DCC power supplies, but thinking more of a dual system, separated by a DPDT switch so I can change between the two?

I cannot see what is stopping the concept apart perhaps the DCC clips causing issues?

    Thankyou.

  6. Like all content, its there to view if so inclined. What it brings out for me is how early in the TT:120 journey we are, and in respect to a new/old gauge release, what have we got to compare it against? How long did N or OO gauges take to get going?

If Hornby folds, I would feel disappointed and concerned with what I could financially lose with what I have invested so far (2nd time around), but would it be reasonable to assume another company would consume the brand and/or produce their own TT product to fill the void? Likely I should think.

I think, lets see how the gauge builds, how they address quality concerns with locos, decoders, etc, and establish a gauge they have near total control over. You never know, other manufacturers may already be looking at new TT lines themselves on the back of Hornbys success with it.

The wheel irons can be popped off if you think it’s catching, you do have the benefit of having it in front of you 😁

True. Just ran it and not lifting so much now and suspect most of the irons have worn off!

Still not sure where the other part is now from.

The marks inside the body will probably be finishing after plastic body comes out if mould rather than witness marks from interference.

@RallymattOn this occassion I dont think so. The "rubbed" plastic is clearly still visible and the front of the bogie also has wear.
