  1. Thanks. Ive tried Hornby spare parts but out of stock. TT120 couplers aren’t unique then..?
  2. Anybody know where I can get spare couplers?
  3. Thank you! Reset1234 worked. Everything had to be downloaded onto the decoder. The advantage of all this faff is that one builds up experience if nothing else. And I am REALLY impressed with both locos. Much better than I anticipated and the sound isn’t “tinny”.. Thanks again! thumbsup
  4. Thank you. I’ll try the reset code later. I don’t particularly want to use the iPhone as I want to use a HM7000 only controller so I’m not bothered by everyday life for an hour or so. But I’ll get stuff working first!
  5. I’ve waded through the first five pages of the HM7k forum.. and I’m still breathing. Barely..🥴 my challenge is this… set up my new Easterner set ( HM7000 ).. and used a Samsung Tab 4 tablet.. the A4 needs reset apparently but the reset passcode isn’t visible. Additionally the tablet keeps looking for a Bluetooth update but won’t download it. I’m wondering if that’s what upset the A4? So I’ve emailed Hornby. I’ve put the app on my iPhone 11 and an A3 I have works straight away after linking. The A4 still wants reset. I have another Samsung tablet which I’ve tried and that wants to reset both locos. Is it correct that I can only use one controller without resetting everything?
  6. Maybe been mentioned elsewhere that whilst I fully support Bluetooth control and all the bells and whistles I simply do not want to spend my hobby time using yet another screen. I just want to switch off from electronic faff and stress! So an analogue type traditional control for speed and direction but retain the screen for all the luxuries! The traditional type controller would be linked by hard wire or Bluetooth to the iPad and would simply be a different, simpler user interface for those who want it. Of course, being new to the modern day world of model trains ( thank you TT120 ) it’s possible that I’m missing something and that my idea is already possible.
  7. Probably been mentioned before but for those of us fed up of looking at screens all day it’s nice to go back to old style physical controls.. so would it be possible to have a conventional controller to operate speed and direction whilst using the tablet etc for the bells and whistles. The two could be linked by hard wire or Bluetooth?
