  1. Once my mk1's arrive i will be modifying my N gauge light bars to suit. if the fit is anything line the pullmans, it should be a doddle. for those interested in the product it will appear here LED Light Bar for Graham Farish New Tooling Coaches | eBay

  4. they were probably pulled so they could check on the issues with the cab fitting and deal with them. i believe SK is pretty quick on trying to get on top of these issues.
  5. first prototype converting an n gauge light bar to tt. now i just need to create the bars with the correct spacing and number of lamps, an possibly in yellow. what are your thoughts? conversion is super simple as all of the holes are in just the right places and the pickups go on real easy.
  6. I am working on a light bar to suit these using the dcc concepts springs. It’s just a matter of having the time!
  7. I’ve started working on scale scenes items and scaling them up from N. The laser cutter makes short work of the heavy card!
  8. i for one am genuinely struggling struggling to understand what Charlie said that could possibly justify trying to have him "cancelled" with peco... I thought his reveiw and opinion were quite fair and balance and made some perfectly reasonable observations. and for those who are moaning about the retailers missing out.... if you are prepared to pay 85% more for the product then by all means convince hornby to put the product in stores. Retailers who are vocally outspoken that they cant sell it are also the ones who will stock the odd loco or piece of track and complain when only the big box retailers are selling it as they are the only ones carrying enough stock to satisfy the customers demand. Here in Australia we have been forced to buy it from a local retailer at a significant markup (85% compared to buying it direct) because Hornby have blocked us from shipping to Australia in favour of a distributor who routinely carries no stock and marks up their wholesale and retail prices significantly. The same distributor also distributes peco and refuses to bring some product lines into the country. SMS have received no samples or demo products to show to their retailers and in turn customers and don't actually seem all that interested in selling it, but are monopolizing on it while they can because the can. As for availability... well there is still no sign of any TT stock on the horizon any time soon for either Hornby or Peco
  9. @SMR248 i believe when sam says coaches he actually means trucks, not sure why he does this but 25 coaches definitely seems to be a strange number
  10. @Fishmanoz are you in any facebook groups? if so which one. i would like to contact you directly
  11. @Fishmanoz I had a very similar discussion with him. I don’t think he realises precisely how unrinated off the Australian market is about this about face. He was quite dismissive about the “perceived” price difference. As for the ACCC, there is nothing they can do. The manufacturer has the right to set their pricing, as does the distributor. The cannot however stop you from grey importing, nor dictate to the retailer that they must sell at a particular price. They can impose restrictions such as refusing to honor the warranty locally - you would need to send anything faulty back to Hornby and deal with them under UK consumer law. while I am completely in the boycott SMS trade practices camp and am advocating the same to everyone… I am also mates with a shop owner who has been forced to pre order at least $10k worth of stock to secure their “exclusive” status. And as the shops know there will be extremely limited competition from the internet they will all sell for as much as they can get away with as they are only competing with the local market.
  12. So the Free Postage has ended for ROW. Pity. Seems Hornby are cracking down on those who are circumventing SMS imposed australia tax!
