  1. Thank you for the replies. Tried this today and when I click update proceed I get an IOException that says "Error in open the port!" 😭
  2. Hi Trying to set up the elink to railmaster via my windows 10 laptop.. I have tried everything that has been suggested in the pinned post faqs and I'm still getting nowhere. Under system setting my controller A drop down menu is highlighted pink which I understand to mean there's still an issue. Device manager has been checked, its all OK, all the same settings, numbers. I've checked the .ini folder and updated everything in there, I've tried uninstalling everything and installing the controller first but nothing I'd making a difference... I'm honestly getting close to launching it out the window. Please, Does anyone have any suggestions I can try before giving up and spending £££ on something un-hornby related 😭
  3. Guys thats brilliant, Thank you very much for the replies. :)
  4. Hi I'm just starting out in the world of model trains. I have my base board/table built, track layout is planned, I even have a train! (I know, good start 🤣) my question is this. The set I have is d.c. I would like to eventually go down the route of d.c.c but I'm unsure about the wiring. Can I wire my track for the future? Can I use d.c.c wiring and techniques but power it with d.c to begin with? And, whichever way is best, is there a guide that I could follow? All I seem to be able to find is referencing shunting yards and it's a loop layout I'm going for. Sorry for the long post. Many thanks in advance for anyone that can help/advise. Josh
