Looking to buy spare parts. Front bogie wheels for LMS 4-6-2 Princess Loco R258 NS. Do you have any suggestions?

You are right has to be the bushing is wearing out and touching the chassis. Do you know how properly remove the wheels? Do I need a special tool?

I took apart the locomotive while doing the process I piece half of the plastic washer that came off. I wonder if the wheels have a type of plastic insulator to prevent touching the chassis. The wheel has some play in between the axles. I test it and work ok for a while until the wheel gets shorted out with chasses. I'm missing something?

Hi everybody, I have an LMS 4-6-2 Princess loco and it is out of the blue it ground it all the time. I can't find the problem. The motor work great. I wonder if the wheels have some insulator to the axle to the wheel or maybe you know a secret on why the loco is grounded. Thanks,

Thank you for the information about using nichrome wire 38g. I will give it a try and let you know.

I tried your suggestion using the 5 amp fusewire 4 laps, but still shorted the loco. Should I use a 3 amp?
