  1. Would it not be possible to encapsulate the decoder in some form of insulation, as I am always concerned the use of shrink cover worries me when using heat to shrink it.

  3. I too have had this issue, Has anyone checked the speaker for heat, I burnt my finger checking mine after only a couple of trips around the track.

I have 5 HM 7000 decoders on my track, if my Mallard is on track then that one is the only one that connects, if I isolate the Mallard and wait till stay alive runs out then the other 4 will connect, put Mallard back and that will not connect but will if in DCC mode work with DCC controller. The only thing I can think of is the Mallard was my first HM 7000 decoder which I like many others connected to the wrong Bluetooth app, after advice from Hornby I managed to bring it back to life. could something have changed to make it the dominant decoder.
