  1. I would also like to see Hornby produce the Class 52 D1000 'Western Enterprise' in it’s initial livery - Full Desert Sand without any yellow panels on the front/rear. Along with HM7000 class 52 sound for the appropriate DCC sound decoder.
  2. I know that there were many versions of ‘Flying Scotsman’ produced for the centenary year but I was hoping that Hornby would produce the 1961-1963 version when last under BR ownership Hornby last produced a pristine version (R078) in 1993, but this was before DCC and I do not want a weathered version (R3202). The new Duplo R30211 Era 11 is close to the model I want but has a corridor tender.
  3. I would like to suggest that Hornby’s next era 1 locomotive should be Matthew Murray’s Salamanca. Built in 1812 (17 years before Stephenson’s Rocket), the Salamanca was named after Wellington’s victory at the Battle of Salamanca. It appears in a watercolour by George Walker (1781–1856), the first painting of a steam locomotive. A model of the locomotive, built by Murray in 1811, is part of the collection held at Leeds Industrial Museum. It is the world's oldest model locomotive. See https://westleedsdispatch.com/worlds-oldest-model-locomotive-is-on-track-in-armley-museum/ for a picture.
