So I been looking at prices today I have pre-ordered some Digital ready locos when I did my research I compared Non-DCC + Next Decoder combine price v the digital ready version and the Digital ready version worked out cheaper. Today I noticed that for class 43 the price is around £40 more 🫢 Do we think £40 is worth saving the hassle of installing to Next 18 Pin decider yourself (for a novice)? I am sure I could put the £40 to good use somewhere else. Also I will have to install them in my Class 08, 50 & 66 when they are ready as Digital ready versions are not offered.
I was just about to ask this, everything I was looking at has jumped in price, but when you click through the price reverts to the old one. As I am new to hornby if you pre-order items do you get the price at the time you order or at the time of dispatch?
They need a ship as one option so you have the choice either as and when they are in stock or when all are in stock in my opinion, but depends if they have space to store items against orders until all are in stock
I noticed that pre order the HSTs and rolling stock i was convinced they both had Autum 2023 was doing some checks and updating my spreadsheet and noticed it had moved to Summer for the coaches
Does seem odd my assumption would be that if I am pre-ordering that they would ship together and not individually, as I have with the Class 43 and was surprised each item had an individual order number. Surly the assumption would be you want everything as a job lot no point having the HST coaches without the loco and vice versa
I am a newbie too but have decided to go for HM7000 with the DCC app after some careful consideration but you can always go analog and then upgrade as all Hornby TT models are DCC ready you can convert later if you want but depending on you collection this could be time consuming
