  1. Is the green light on the e-link on steady or is it blinking?
  2. Hi The issue has been resolved. In case anyone else has issues with activation/de-activation, both my broadband router and my phone (when using it as a hotspot) were blocking the communication with the RM activation server. The solution was I had to take the computer to work and plug it in via Ethernet because even the Wi-Fi blocked the connection. Thanks Callum
  3. Yes I installed over the top of the existing installation. I’ve even tried setting up another administrator account with no password because someone else said removing their password fixed it but still no luck. I’ve emailed HRMS hopefully they will have a solution.
  4. RM Support kindly manually de-activated it for me on the old PC however it still won’t activate on the new computer. Could it be an issue with Windows 11? * I am logged into windows as administrator * I have ticked run as administrator in Compatibility * I have un-ticked Read-Only on the RailMaster program folder although it keeps changing back to read-only. * I have added RailMaster as an exception on the Windows Firewall * I have ticked 'Full Control' for the RailMaster folder * I have tried disabling Windows Antivirus and Firewall (no other antivirus/firewall installed) * I have tried connecting via a mobile hotspot in case it's the router blocking it * I have tried downloading again from the link provided and re-installing it (run as administrator)
  5. Hi I've sent them another email - hopefully they'll reply.
  6. I've tried again and according to the knowledge base, when trying to activate a key that's already active, it should then come up with the key reset form however this is not happening. It seems to just not recognise the key. This makes me think it must be a Hornby server issue again?
  7. Hi I tried installing (right-click run as administrator) over the top of my existing install on the old PC but still the same thing happened, when de-activating it closed down. I tried the process on the other thread but I do not get a form come up to have my key reset, it just says key not downloaded correctly. Unless I get a reply from Hornby railmaster support, it looks like I'm stuck!
  8. Yes I have tried and it says "key was not downloaded correctly"
  9. Hi I am trying to de-activate my rail master from my old PC as I have bought a new computer and need to activate it on the new PC. When I click the de-activate button and click Yes to are you sure, it says connecting to gateway and then de-registering railmaster. Railmaster then closes down by itself but when I re-open it, it is still registered. Can anyone think of what might be going wrong? I have tried emailing support but not had a reply. Thanks Callum
  10. Thanks, I was aware it runs on windows xp onwards. I’m more thinking of what hardware would allow me to get the most out of using it. I’d be looking for something with a touchscreen and SSD hard drive so it boots quicker, maybe a tablet PC as long as it has USB ports.
  11. Just interested in hearing what equipment everyone else is running their RM on? I have a second-hand Dell Inspiron One (touchscreen all-in-one) but Windows now refuses to boot up. It looks like I may need to source a replacement PC with touchscreen.
  12. It worked! hugging_face So it was a HRMS server issue.
  13. I have received the same email. I shall give it a try tonight when I get home from work.
  14. I have emailed Support so I'll let you know how I get on.
  15. Thanks for the suggestions so far, I have connected via the Google DNS Public server but unfortunately it made no difference, still getting unable to enter resource 12015. I am by the way based in the UK using EE. So in summary: latest version installed (right-click run as administrator when installed)I am doing right-click run as administrator to run railmaster.exerailmaster.exe added to Windows Defender exceptions and Firewall turned offtried the User Support feature but it won't send (it now says unable to send (12015) please try again shortly)tried rebooting routertried connecting through mobile hotspot 'Three Mobile'tried using the Google DNS server The only possibility is a problem with the HRMS Servers?
