  1. Andy, so happy that KITT is finally getting the re-issue
  2. Andy, I know the KITT car was made back in the late 80s / early 90s but let's be honest - it was a terrible model. It looked completely the wrong shape, it sat too high on its F1 wheels and it had blacked out windows with no interior. Oh, and it had "Knight Rider" tampo printed on the rear, something I never remember seeing on the TV show! No doubt it was limited by the technology of the time but it is begging for a reissue using modern tooling techniques. I'm very tempted to convert a 1/32 diecast model into a slot car... /media/tinymce_upload/e1d5fdbe6b49a91d64ae155d9024949c.png
  3. Predictions / wishes for future TV and movie cars... 2021 Delorean - Back To The Future Part 2 (with Mr Fusion attachment) Pontiac Firebird - KITT - Knight Rider (including strobe light) Aston Martin V8 - James Bond - The Living Daylights (with detachable skis) 2022 Delorean - Back To The Future Part 3 (with 1955 wheels) Delorean triple set - BTTF1 (with doc Brown driving) BTTF2 (with folded wheels in flight mode) BTTF3 (with rail wheels and 1885 bonnet attachment) Pontiac Firebird - KARR Ecto1 - Ghostbusters Schedule will be achievable with only 1 new tool per year and maximise the usage of the Delorean model announced this year with a total of 6 editions, 3 of which will be exclusive to the triple set
  4. The new Aston Martin Vantage GTE pretty please. Tried to upload picture but this terrible system won’t let me
  5. I completely agree with Roger from Switzerland above that most scalextric collectors and racers are fully grown men that grew up watching classic films and TV. How about the Back To The Future Deloreon or a retool of the Knight Rider Trans Am? Id also love to see an A-Team van and a Smokey and the Bandit Firebird.
  6. How about a Lamborghini Countach? it was always my dream car as a kid and I'm sure it would sell in droves Dave
  7. I'd love to see Scaley get the ferrari license back! A 1966 312 Formula one car in the legends series would be bliss! One of the last Ferraris that Scalextric made was a rally version of the 308GTB (C2974); with some clever craft knife work and a respray it could be converted in to a Magnum p.i. car.. Dave
  8. The E-Type is coming!! Now fingers crossed for the British Racing Green version
  9. I've also been hoping for a while that we would get a Jenson Button McLaren Honda to partner with Alonso's C3705. Now that it is very unlikely that Jenson will drive another F1 after this season, how about a special edition Jenson's last McLaren? Or even better a 3 car set featuring his debut Williams, his championship winning Brawn and the McLaren.. Dave
  10. Flyboy, completely agree about the E-Type, but for me it'd have to be in classic British Racing Green. So many manufacturers have made coupe versions but no one has made a recent topless model. I'm pretty sure there's an airfix kit of it though so maybe Hornby could use the tooling for a scalextric one...? Dave
  11. Richard, Are those the same cars that were re-tooled in the early 90s? The power and the glory cars? I agree though that they'd look great built with today's techniques. Alternatively we could just rob a bank and go for the originals, well over £1000 on eBay! Another one for my list would be the Aston Martin DBR1. Scaley built some years ago that were exclusive to Toys R us but these too would benefit from the modern tooling Dave
  12. Hello all, I thought I'd start a new thread to give our favourite manufacturer some ideas of our future cars wish list. This has probably been covered before but ah well. Here goes with some of my ideas Movie Muscle Cars Knight Rider KITT. (Scalextric released this many many years ago but it is begging for a retool with flashing red strobe) Smokey and the Bandit Trans AM Superlight Ariel Atom please GT3 The new Ford GT Le Mans Any new prototypes would be appreciated. Every other manufacturer has done the Audi R18 but no one has done a Porsche or a Nissan or any other recent prototype. Street Personally I'd love to see an Aston Martin DB11 in my collection Any other ideas? Dave
