    Thank you that's a very comprehensive answer, I haven't bought one yet as I didn't understand how to use more than one R8247 now I know, thank's again for your help.

    I'm thinking of going digital but can't see how to operate more than one R8247 accessory decoder to an R8213 select digital controller as I would like to control 6 points, could anybody help me please?
