Garrett, just for completeness of information. If you did want to invest in a purpose Crimping Tool. You need the type that are made for UN-INSULATED crimp terminals. These days, the Crimp Tools seem to be more common for the INSULATED crimp terminal types. It won't work effectively if you use the 'insulated' crimp tool on an 'un-insulated' crimp terminal.

To help identify the correct tool type, I attach a close up photograph of the jaws of an 'Un-insulated Crimping Tool'. Note the shape of the crimping area of the jaw.
