Andy P.
Which set is it specifically? This can happen when there is a short across both lanes. If you have lane changing pieces these must used in pairs.Otherwise there could be some lint, metal or something causing things to short circuit.Vacuum the track (top and bottom) and the surrounding area thoroughly.Inspect the powerbase track for breaks or cracks.Inspect the controllers for breaks and cracks.Make the smallest, simplest oval with no special pieces and first test with only one controller and then the other (only connect them one at a time and in both lanes, i.e. Controller A and Car A on Lane 1 and then on Controller A and Car A on Lane 2 , Controller B on Lane 1 then Lane 2 etc...). Also try the cars on the different lanes. (see above)This will determine if there is fault in the cars or controllers or powerbase. If everything works then start adding pieces until you find the one with the fault.
