Flying sauer Posted February 27, 2018 Share Posted February 27, 2018 Hiya all after a little help Just received a a huge Hornby collection with lots of live steam thought trains not my first hobby but getting hooked set myself up a small track for the mallardFollowerd the instructions got red light on got up to steam but unable to get into green mode Thought it was me but set up another unit and worked fine Can't hear the motor turning to open up the valve eitherAny ideasMany thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Go_West Posted February 27, 2018 Share Posted February 27, 2018 Hi Flyingtry turning the exposed motor armature with a screw driver with out touching the winds a few turns then try the control lever in both directions for a few seconds and check the volt meter for any drop in votls should be about 7 to 9 volts if the motor still will not run check all wires and if you have a volt meter check the voltage across the motor if you are getting around 8 volts then the motor is U/S if no volts then the PCB might be U/S Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
