martin_sutor
I went to the Science Museum last week and there was the S6B I remember from years ago. Wouldn't that make a great kit in 1/48,ot even 1/72? I think the original 1/72 in a plastic bag was the first Airfix kit I ever built.
Sailorman
Hi, I totally agree with you. A beautiful plane. I built the 1:72 version shortly after I saw the real one in the Museum some years back./media/tinymce_upload/963240bb6956927a3dd74ed779ea8cbf.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/af5ab588984c11d106413346eaf316fa.JPG
Sailorman
Did you see the trophy in the museum? It's beautiful too with the wind kissing the waves..... so poetic . A perfect allegory for a seaplane!/media/tinymce_upload/7679ca63545b29dbe22cead97e6b8f56.jpg
martin_sutor
Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately I missed the Trophy but have recently bought the Haynes Manual on the S6B. Highly recommended. Your model is very impressive Ive been checking ebay and they are quite expensive now. A pity Airfix did not reissue it when they reissued the DH 88.
