Trainboy and company
Hello. My R9050 Devious Diesel model appears to have some problems when I try to run it. When I try to run it forwards, it doesn't move, but I can faintly hear a hum coming from the motor. When I try to run it backwards, it runs for a little bit but stops after a minute or so. I don't know for sure what might be causing this. I checked it all over and everything seems in working order, apart from the two rear wheels seeming somewhat loose. Is this something solved by lubrication, or will I need to take it apart? Thanks. Peter.
NWR-Gordon-4
Not sure myself what is wrong. I don't know much about the motor department. I am sure that that topic will get moved to the General Disscussion sub-forum. GNR-Gordon-
Chrissaf
You will probably need to take the body off and look at the drive train. It sounds like some gearing or mounting has come loose and is jamming totally when going forward, but in reverse there is some movement before slack is taken up and the gears jam again. Trainboy and company
Chrissaf, I took Diesel apart just now. It turns out the problem was that the rear wheel axle had come loose somehow, and all I needed to do was push it back into place. It is now running properly again. Thank you so much, Chris. God bless you.
Chrissaf
Glad it was an easy fix.
