Arbuthnott
Hello all, I have just bought 2 basic figure of 8 sets as they were on special offer & now have a double length track + some additional track bought separately. Both sets came with came with a P9400W, 1.2a adaptor. Sticking them all toghether I will end up with a track probably 3 times as long as original. Is 1 adaptor enough to power the full track? Should I connect both adaptors or will this cause a problem, or do I need a more powerful adaptor?Advice appreciatedThanks
woodcote
Hi Arbuthnott - welcome to the forum! You should be fine running standard Scalextric cars on that track length with the standard power supply. Good track and car maintenance should keep everything running nicely. In addition to the info in the set instructions, there are some good tips here: https://www.scalextric.com/uk-en/support/tips If you extend the track further or start using high-performance cars, you might look at upgrading the power supply, controllers etc - but that is for the future. I hope that helps.
