Andy P.
Hi There,There are lots of videos online about this. Even if the videos are for other brands the principle is the same.Essentially though the rails have to always be kept separate.Let's say we call one lane/slot RED and one lane/slot YELLOW.Each lane/slot has a PLUS and MINUS(Negative) side.So the ideal way to connect is to run a cable from the PLUS/RED rail near the power base to the PLUS/RED rail as far from the powerbase as possible.Do the same for the MINUS/RED, PLUS/YELLOW and MINUS/YELLOW.If anything short circuits there will be smoke and possible sparks so take your time, follow the lane/slot around and if you have a multimeter double check before applying power. Crzy_88
I have just dusted off the old track and obtained enough track to make something a bit more substantial but now have power drop at the far side. Did this solve your issue? I also am running two transformers one for each track to avoid the power drop from both running off the same supply. Andy P.
Before doing any sort of extra cabling I would make sure the track is in as good of condition as possible.... Again the search here and elsewhere provides lots of tips!
